Facts about BeeSeal: Natural beeswax leather care and wood polish

Want to know more about what makes BeeSeal an essential product for every home? Read on!

BeeSeal is made in New Zealand

We're proud to say that The Original BeeSeal is made from natural New Zealand beeswax, sourced from Manuka trees in the Coromandel native forests.

BeeSeal is all-natural

There’s no need for BeeSeal to contain artificial colours or fragrances - the beeswax in its raw state is a rich yellow colour, and the smell is as sweet as honey! BeeSeal contains no animal fats or silicone; in fact, it is safe to use on bench tops and food bowls and even relatively safe to eat. However, some people who are allergic to edible bee products may react to BeeSeal on the skin.

BeeSeal is safe to use on leather

The natural BeeSeal formulation will not rot stitching like a lot of other leather care products do, and will soften leather without making it “soggy”. BeeSeal is also a neutral colour and suitable for any coloured leather (may darken light tan and softer leathers such as Napa).

BeeSeal will retain your leathers original shape and suppleness, without leaving a greasy or sticky finish. BeeSeal can be used on Cordura products and boots with Gortex, and will not block the pores of the leather.

BeeSeal is naturally long lasting

Beeswax is a natural preservative and will not deteriorate with age – in fact, it’s been found in 2000 year old tombs as a preserver! BeeSeal is naturally mould resistant and will not dry out if the can is left open.

Don't worry if BeeSeal gets on your clothes though, it will wash out in the laundry.
